Mike has been a professional tri-athlete for 17 years and is now retired from the sport to spend more time with his wife, Marci of 12 years and their beautiful twins, Tristan and Chloe. Mike has raced all over the world. He has four National Championship titles, two time Tri-athlete of the Year, 2nd place in the Hawaii Ironman competition and over 80 wins in 200 starts. He was also chosen by the Times-Standard as Athlete of the Century. Mike has been an important spokesperson within Humboldt County, speaking to grade schools and clubs on health, nutrition and a winning attitude.
